I am a textile designer and teacher working with fabric, quilts, and learning.

My practice brings together design, making, and teaching as parts of the same process — grounded in material understanding, careful work, and long-term thinking.

My work is built around process rather than outcomes.

Ideas develop slowly through drawing, testing, making, and reflection — often moving back and forth between fabric design and quilt making.

Design is approached as structure and thinking, not surface or decoration.

Materials are treated with respect, and decisions are shaped by use, scale, and construction.

Design and teaching are closely connected in my work.

Making quilts and designing fabric allow ideas to be explored through practice — testing, adjusting, and returning to materials as part of an ongoing process.

Teaching helps articulate those discoveries by slowing down processes, naming decisions, and making them accessible to others. Learning is not separate from making, but part of it.

Working from Northern Finland, near the Swedish border, my practice is shaped by a slower rhythm and long seasons. Place does not define the work, but it supports a way of working that allows time, focus, and continuity to remain central.
